The annual Africa Festival of Arts and Culture will take place at the Sackville Landing, on Lower Water Street, in Halifax. 

AFRIFEST showcases visual and performing arts, as well as the culture of people of African descent. Artists who participates in the festival are Diasporas from Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Gambia, Zambia, Togo, Congo, Uganda, Somalia, Eritrean, Ethiopia, Burundi, Sierra Leone, the Caribbean and African Nova Scotian Community. Their artistic works include visual arts, drumming, jazz, hip-hop, gospel, spoken-word and more.
