Ellie Black earned Canada's best ever Olympic finish in the women's individual all-around gymnastics, finishing in fifth place.

The Halifax native completed the competition with an overall score of 58.298.

"I couldn't have asked for a better way to finish my Olympics. I've been working so hard," Black said, who aimed for a top-eight finish going in.
