For centuries, Alexander Keith’s Brewery has welcomed thirsty patrons through its doors. But does something sinister roam the halls of the historic watering hole?
The author of Halifax Haunts says there is evidence Alexander Keith may still watch over his beloved brewery more than 140 years after his death.
“There’s a tunnel underneath here that Keith had built from his house to the brewery. I think he just wanted to check on his, on the workings of the brewery, whatever the weather,” says Steve Vernon.
“People have heard footsteps running through there and then they’ve heard footsteps slowly walking.”
