City planner Jan Gehl talks about making Halifax more people friendly
World renown architect discusses everything from one-way streets to the waterfront
Renowned architect and urban consultant Jan Gehl has some ideas about how Halifax can – and should – become more people-friendly.
Gehl gave a public talk at Dalhousie University’s Medjuck Building on Tuesday, focusing on “liveable cities for the 21st century.” Armed with a Masters of architecture, Gehl has worked as a professor and written several books. In 2009, he co-founded Gehl Architects.
