HALIFAX – NSNDP Leader Claudia Chender laid out her party’s plan to protect renters, increase the number of affordable homes, get Nova Scotians the primary care they need, and save families money during a leaders’ debate Thursday night.
Throughout the evening, Chender took Tim Houston to task for his weak record on housing and health care. Under the Conservative government, rent increased by 70 per cent and 145,000 Nova Scotians still don’t have primary care they can rely on.
While PC Leader Tim Houston and Liberal Leader Zach Churchill spent much of the televised debate bickering and deflecting blame, Chender delivered her message about improving health care, housing, and affordability in Nova Scotia.
