A woman charged in the stabbing of a child on a downtown Halifax street must wait a while longer to learn her fate.

Elliott Chorny, 19, is charged with attempted murder and weapons offences in relation to an incident on Feb. 23.

During a court appearance in March, Nova Scotia Provincial Court Judge Alonzo Wright ordered Chorny to undergo a 30-day psychiatric assessment, to see if she should be held criminally responsible for the attack.
