Curling Canada unveils 16 mixed doubles teams vying for 2026 Olympic berth

Field includes Brendan Bottcher and reigning women's world champion Rachel Homan

The field for the Olympic mixed doubles curling trials includes a who's who of Canadians in the sport.

The 16 teams announced Tuesday compete Dec. 30 to Jan. 4 in Liverpool, N.S., for the right to represent Canada at the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, Italy.

Mixed doubles made its Olympic debut in 2018, when Canada's Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris claimed the first gold medal in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
