Broken Social Scene's drummer fell during a show in Vancouver
CBC NewsBen DornanThe Halifax Jazz Festival has cancelled its Saturday night show after headline act Broken Social Scene pulled out late last week.
Haley Clarke, the festival's senior marketing manager, confirmed to CBC on Wednesday that the main stage will be dark on the penultimate night of the 40th edition of the festival.
The last-minute change comes after drummer Justin Peroff of the Toronto-based indie rock band fell during a June 26 performance at Vancouver’s FIFA Fan Festival and was sent to hospital.
