The boy was found by 10 a.m., police said
CBC NewsHalifax RCMP say a five-year-old boy in the Musquodoboit Valley area who was reported missing this morning has been found.
Police said the boy was last seen at 7:50 a.m. in the rural community of Elderbank, about 65 kilometres northeast of Halifax.
An emergency alert was issued around 9:20 a.m. asking people to check their yards.
He was found by 10 a.m., police said.
