A 58-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident on an Eastern Shore lake on Wednesday that police describe as a case of intimate-partner violence.

RCMP responded to a call at 2:50 p.m. on Lake Charlotte, located about 60 kilometres from Halifax.

According to a media release, a man and a woman were on a boat when the man attempted to push the woman into the water.
