Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative candidate David Bowlby has been confirmed as the winner of the riding of Annapolis after a nearly five-hour judicial recount at the Annapolis Royal Volunteer Fire Department's hall on Tuesday.

Bowlby unseated Liberal incumbent Carman Kerr, who was elected in 2021. The recount was prompted when the initial results of the provincial election on Nov. 26 showed Bowlby won by seven votes. The recount showed he won by an eight-vote margin.
