Isle Royale ATV to build clubhouse, expand trails

Some recent provincial funding is helping an all-terrain vehicle club in Sydney, N.S., expand and improve the trail system in Cape Breton.

Isle Royale ATV says it received roughly $81,500 in grants that will primarily go toward the construction of a new clubhouse in Marion Bridge and the redevelopment of a trail connecting Stirling Road to Loch Lomond.

Club president Greg Serroul says the Loch Lomond route, called Trail 616, will use an old public works road that is no longer maintained.
