Self-guided tour highlights the places where P.E.I.’s famous author studied and worked

A new self-guided walking tour in Halifax aims to show visitors a side of Lucy Maud Montgomery that goes beyond P.E.I.

The tour, created by the L.M. Montgomery Institute at the University of Prince Edward Island, highlights places in Halifax where the Anne of Green Gables author studied, worked and walked.

Kate Scarth, who chairs L.M. Montgomery studies at UPEI, said Montgomery had two major periods in the city — first as a student at Dalhousie College, now Dalhousie University.
