Top 6 places to get hot chocolate in Halifax!

When the air gets cold and the Christmas decorations go up, there’s nothing I crave more than a nice, warm hot chocolate. Luckily, there is no shortage of cafés that sell delicious hot chocolate in  Halifax !

Here are my favourite hot chocolates in town:

1. The Old Apothecary

Delicious European chocolate makes this hot chocolate rich and frothy.  The Old Apothecary  is new to downtown Halifax, and they’re already a local favourite. With their delightful hot drinks and treats, it looks like they’re here to stay!

1. Scanway Bakery + Café

I have yet to try something I didn’t like at  Scanway Bakery + Café , so I was very impressed with the milky hot chocolate I tried. Scanway is perfect for lunch with friends, just try to resist grabbing a delicious pastry with that hot chocolate!

1. Smiling Goat Organic Espresso Bar

My best friend swears by the coffee at  Smiling Goat , so I added it to my list to see if their other drinks were as good. I can confirm that they are! They make a delicious, sweet hot chocolate.

1. Two if by Sea

Two if by Sea’s  hot chocolate is rich and frothy, and the barista swirled a heart onto the top of my drink. It’s no wonder that this place is considered a gem in the local food scene.

1. Choco Café

I’m a sucker for white chocolate, so when I saw it on the menu, I had to try it.  It was probably the most rich and chocolatey hot chocolate I tried, and the recipe uses real Belgian chocolate. You can’t go wrong!

1. Steve O Reno’s Cappuccino

Local legend,  Steve O Reno’s Cappuccino , serves a wonderful hot chocolate that’s not too rich doesn’t skimp on quite chocolatey flavour. It’s perfect for an afternoon of Christmas shopping!
